10 beaches on Ibiza with access for people with a disability

There are many beaches and bays on Ibiza. Some are easy to reach and some are very difficult because, for example, you have to take a dirt path or a steep road to get to the beach. For people with a disability even the beaches easiest to be reached can be an impossible task. We wrote this post especially for them. We collected beaches which have easy access and facilities for the disabled.

Cala Moli

On the west side of Ibiza you find Cala Moli. It is a beautiful beach with white sand and pebbles and clear water with a sandy ground. From its shore you can see the small island of s’Espartar. When the sun sets you can see amazing colours in the sky….Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Cala Contacala Moli

Cala Conta is a beach for everybody and it comprises 3 beaches. This is why nudists, guests with a disability, sun worshippers, sun set lovers and family with kids, to name a few, all find their beach spot. From the shore of Cala Conta, several islands are visible which makes it picture perfect.

Cala Bassa

Another great beach at this side of the island is Cala Bassa. It has some of the clearest waters of Ibiza and the long and wide beach looks exactly like what a real beach must be: white sand and a beautiful forest on the background with rocks in the sea and dark blue and turquoise waters…stunning!

Gala Gracio

Cala Gracio, just above San Antonio Bay, is one of our favourites. Its small, it’s peaceful, it has a nice view on some fishermen’s huts and it’s surrounded by pine trees. An extra plus is the shower and toilet with special access for the disabled.

Cala Salada

Almost next to Cala Gracio lies Cala Salada. The beach perfectly represents one of Ibiza’s treasures which is nature! Rocks, cliffs, pine trees, hills…it’s all there. We love the sunset here and the shimmering of the stars that is reflected in the water.

Talamanca Ibiza

When you say beach you say Talamanca. It’s 900 metres long, 25 metres wide, has soft and fine sand and a wooden boardwalk for a nice stroll with the sea breeze in your hair. Talamanca is located next to Ibiza Town and fun the whole year round.

Figueretas

Another beach near Ibiza Town is Figueretas. The beach is well designed and beautifully decorated with palm trees and there is a little harbour. A long strip of sand gives you the opportunity for a long and leisurely walk.

Playa de Santa Eulalia

Right next to the centre of the town of Santa Eulalia you find a half moon shaped beach with fine sand and it has a friendly slope down to the water which makes it ideal for the disabled. There are palm trees and a strip that surrounds the beach and you can watch a beautiful sunset here.

Cala Llonga

Last but definitely not least in this list is Cala Llonga. It lies south of Santa Eulalia and this beach has it all. It’s wide and long with fine sand, the water is not too deep and the beach is surrounded by pine trees. It has sports facilities, showers, enough parking spaces, a playground for kids, and lifeguards. All this will make beach worshipers happy and satisfied.

My wheelchair bound son & I, I’m 65, will be docking near San Antonia when we cruise on Independence of the Seas in July.

Which beach would be the nearest, accessible beach for us? We will need an accessible toilet and also somewhere to get snacks/meal.

Found your info most helpful. Thanks very much.

  2. Hi Paul & Gaynor,
