Is a camping in Ibiza Glamorous?

Camping-Ibiza-4When I hear the word ‘camping’, all the hairs on the back of my neck rise. Can you imagine the expression on my face when Marisa said to me that we would be staying on a camping in Ibiza? Marisa picked me up from the airport, as she went a week earlier to Ibiza to spend some time with her friends. One of them lived on the camping in summer…While she drove us to Cala D’Hort for lunch, (by the way, great paella at restaurant El Carmen) all I could do was imagining myself heating up some water on a small gas pit surrounded by small tents. After lunch we drove to the Camping site.

My opinion of a camping site changed instantly! There were a few small tents in
one area of the camping site. However, there were also  large bungalow tents and wooden bungalows on the camping. People were very friendly and the kids played with each other all day long. We stayed there for almost two weeks and every night we had dinner in one of the restaurants Ibiza has to offer. When not going out for dinner, we organized a barbeque with friends and friends of friends on the camping site. I could see the benefit of having kids one day and staying at the camping site.

Everybody is looking after each other’s kids. As parents you have the time to relax, and the advantage is that the beach is only five minutes away! The showers and toilets are very clean and modern so no worries about your hygiene. Ibiza has a lot of different camping sites in different price ranges. When you stay at Cala Nova near Es Canar, we can provide you with a small tip: the small supermarket near the reception has fantastic bocadillios con Jamon Iberico. In plain English: a Spanish dry ham sandwich. Now I finally understand Marisa’s word “Glamping”. since  you can still have a glamourous holiday, burn the dance floors in the clubs, have some cocktails in a bar and still sleep it all off in your cosy bungalow (tent), at the Glamping.

We love to hear your Glamping experience in Ibiza, so feel free to send us your
stories.

Great to hear about this place! Not so many people are a fan of the wild. I have friends who likes the fun of camping but still wants to have the comforts of being in a hotel. I believe this would be perfect for them.

Thank you Bruce for your comment.
It seems that something must be wrong on our blog, because the Twitter buttons should be above and under our blog post. Thank you again for pointing this out to us.

I think you may want to place a twitter button to your site. I just bookmarked the url, but I had to make it manually. Just my advice.
