10 Quirky Things I love about Winter in Ibiza

Cala-d'en-Serra-
So, I´m back by popular demand (or rather everyone else ignored Virgil´s phone calls!), and following on from my last blog – 10 Things We´ve Learnt Since Moving To Ibiza, which I´m told might have been a touch too negative, this one is a much more positive (I hope) about the quirky side of Ibiza life during the long Winter months. Here we go! Continue reading…

My move to Ibiza and the birth of The Rolling Soul

The Rolling Soul Ibiza
When I first approached Marisa and Virgil about writing a blog for Ibiza Inside, I was delighted that they were into the idea too. It’s now my fifth year on the island and as it would seem I’m doing all the four professions I couldn’t decide upon when I was younger: singing with my band, The Rolling Soul, teaching how to play the guitar and vocals at Morna International College, designing and making my own clothes. And now writing for Ibiza Inside! Continue reading…

My dream to live on Ibiza by Jason Ham

Jason Ham Ibiza

Many years ago, I sat on a little jetty, located just to the left of the beach at Cala Llenya, lost in my own thoughts. Just like thousands of people before me, and the thousands after who will visit the beautiful island of Ibiza, I sat there creating an elaborate dream, a vision, in my mind: of one day living here, and enjoying the fruits of this magical place. Not just over a crazy weekend of partying, or a week of beaches and restaurants, squashed in between leaving the rain at home and returning to piles of work on the desk, but permanently, throughout the changing seasons.

Our new life in Ibiza part two

Marjolein Ibiza
Getting used to the Ibiza rhythm is something that takes time once you have started living here instead of being on holiday. It´s funny how it still feels like it´s a big holiday. Even though we think this feeling will fade away in time, the people we have met tell us it won’t. So, what’s the big difference between living here and being on a holiday?? This time I will share two things with you… Continue reading…

Our new life on Ibiza

Marjolein Ibiza

Ibiza; don’t we all love the island? Don’t we all want to live here? The last few years I spoke to so many people who made this step. And when they asked me: ‘why don’t you move to Ibiza?’ I always had an excuse: work, money, house, dog, friends and so on and so forth. Do you recognize this? Don’t worry. If you really want to move, there is a possibility. The only thing is to really want to do it, because as soon as you want this so bad, all these excuses will fade away. At least, that is my experience. Continue reading…

Ibiza, what is happening in winter?

Ibiza-Generic-23

So…it is wintertime and the island is colder and quiet. Almost all the tourists have left and there is nothing to do in Ibiza…right? Wrong!Winter is an amazing time of year on Ibiza. The sun is still shining, people on the island have time for a chat, enough good restaurants and bars are open the whole year round and you still can have a long lazy lunch with your bare feet in the sand. There are nice events in winter like markets in the weekends, Halloween, the wine festival in December, Christmas parties, New Year, Tres Reyes, Sunday roast, dancing in Club Pacha and live music in El Teatro every night….
