Delicious restaurant El Carmen with a beautiful view

The first time that we came to El Carmen together was very romantic. Marisa was already in Ibiza and Virgil came a week later. Marisa picked Virgil up at the airport and drove straight to El Carmen, her old time favourite, to get Virgil in the Ibiza vibe as soon as possible after coming from a cold Holland…

Cala D’Hort

When you drive to Cala D’Hort you’ll see how beautiful Ibiza is when driving on the cost road with green hills and the blue ocean right beside it. Parking at Cala D’Hort can be difficult in summer season but finding a parking space is worth the effort. As soon as you reach the beach you will be mesmerized by the beauty of Es Vedra and her little sister Es Vedranell in the ocean in front of you.

El Carmen

After a few hours of relaxing on the beach, head over to restaurant El Carmen for a long and lazy lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful view because the restaurant is located a little higher up. The Paella is fantastic; we consider it as one of the best on the island! There are Paellas with lobster, with chicken, with sea food and more….we tried them all and we love them. As soon as the restaurant opens in May/June you will find us there celebrating life with great food and excellent wines in one of the only chiringuitos (simple beach restaurant) that is left on the island, El Carmen! It is closed from October to spring.

Fresh fish dishes

El Carmen also offers a lot of fresh fish dishes for you to enjoy. If you can try to get your table in the back of the restaurant it is great fun to watch the cooks preparing your meal.

For a magical view, great lunch and relaxed atmosphere come to Cala D’Hort and have lunch at El Carmen!
