Cala Bassa

Cala Bassa beach has some of the most clean and clearest waters and beaches in Ibiza. The beach is 400 meters long and 35 meters wide which is curved with powdery like golden sand where you can see the peninsula of San Antonio. This is why it’s not a surprise that Cala Bassa is a Blue Flag beach.

This is an ideal beach for families with young children as the water is very shallow with the added security of having lifeguards. There are banana boats and pedaloes or you may be sporty, try a little beach volleyball or waterskiing. What is so amazing about the beach is the landscape which includes the naturally created swimming pool enclosed by rocks where small children can swim safely. The beach itself is comparable to the finest tropical beaches in the pacific and Asia like the Philippine beaches. Vibrant green forests in the background makes it more peaceful and very cool to look at. So just imagine..cool water, cool people and a cool environment…this is what makes it a cool destination!

For a leisurely walk, you may stroll away from the beach and enjoy the enchanting forest, give 5 minutes to enjoy your walk and you will come to see big rocks where you can clearly see the island of Conejera and an old watch tower. This might be a small achievement to think of, but worth enough to spend some time to exercise those leg muscles. As the song goes, “at the end of the rainbow, you’ll find a pot of gold”. Call this little achievement your gold, a wonderland for that little stretch of walk! The beach is also a favorite beach of local families especially during off season.

There are bars and restaurants located at the back part of the beach. The beach also provides toilets for guests with a disability and rooms where you can change. There are also sun beds and beach umbrellas available to make your stay comfortable.

Cala Bassa is approximately 10 minutes by car from San Antonio. Your car can be conveniently parked at the car park. You just need to follow the signs on the road either from San Antonio or San José. You may also want to take the ferry from San Antonio for only 15 minutes. Buses are also available that go from the bus stop of San Antonio.

Cala Bassa, a perfect place to escape from your routine and daily life.
