A holiday can hardly be called a real holiday when there are no good places to eat at the beach, right? Sitting barefoot in the sand while enjoying a plate of fresh fish and a cool glass of wine is one of the best things in life we guess. Add to this the accompanying live sound of a saxophone and this is an even better picture…

Restaurants and beach clubs can be found on almost any beach. Some are fancy and for the rich, hip and famous and some are more affordable and offer the freshest and most fantastic catch of the day or Mediterranean food. The little local restaurants are called Chiringuitos and are simple and quite inexpensive but some still offer the best food on the island. Some beach restaurants close as the sun goes down but there are restaurants that, in summertime, are open until the last customer ask for the bill. All the beach clubs are closed in wintertime, some just for a short holiday and others from October until June. However, some beach restaurants are open for lunch 12 months a year.
